The whole community came together to recognize the generous donation of Mr. William Smith.
Thank you Mr. Smith!
Well over 100 people attended the October 25th Community Conversation on the future of our Village Store - young and old, new and long-time residents, regular meeting attendees and people who rarely attend public meetings. And at the end of the evening, there was strong agreement on the central question: Francestown needs its Village Store
Lively conversations led to some strong consensus - that the store should offer a place for friends and neighbors to meet, and that local vendors and products should be available at the store, and that the community needs to work together to ensure the success of a re-imagined Francestown Village Store!
Young and...uh...everyone else donated labor in exchange for food and fun to clean up the store.
A diverse offering of casseroles was presented at the Casserole Cook Off. The grand prize winner, Marcy Tripp, took home an apron with the Francestown Village Store "Saved" logo.
